My 2500HD Headlight Wish List

The driver-side headlight lens on my 2021 Silverado 2500HD is cracked. That’s the gas 6.6L on 37s, with the stacked halogen headlights it came with. I haven’t bought anything yet. This is the list I’m shopping from, and I’m replacing both sides so they match.

Here’s what I’m looking for:

  • Fits the halogen stacked style. The 2020–2023 HD trucks came with halogen or factory LED headlights, and they don’t swap with each other. Mine is halogen, so anything on this list has to say halogen model.
  • Light color. I like that my lights aren’t that crazy blinding 5,000K white. I’m checking the color before I order.
  • Running lights. I do like the added running lights on these.

1. ACANII LED Tube Headlights (Halogen Model Upgrade)

ACANII LED Tube Headlights for 2020–2023 Silverado 2500HD/3500HD — this is the one at the top of my list.

  • Fit: The listing says it’s for halogen-headlight models only (WT, LT and Custom on the 2500HD) and not for factory LED trucks. It lists OEM part numbers 84738616 and 84738617.
  • Light color: The listing doesn’t give a kelvin number. It says the low and high beams are LED and built in. I want to find out the color before I order.
  • Running lights: It has a light tube that the listing calls DRL compatible. One reviewer said theirs only came on with the headlights, not all day, so I want to know how that works on my truck.

2. KEEKPO LED Tube Projector Headlights

  • Fit: Listed for the same halogen trucks and the same OEM part numbers. Not for factory LED models.
  • Light color: These come with H7 low-beam and H1 high-beam bulbs instead of built-in LED beams. No color is listed, but with bulbs I could pick the color myself.
  • Running lights: Has the light tube, plus a sequential turn signal.

3. AKKON Projector Headlights with LED DRL

  • Fit: Listed for 2020–2023 2500HD/3500HD halogen trucks. The listing calls it a direct bolt-on replacement with no wiring needed, and it recommends a professional install.
  • Light color: Also uses H7 low and H1 high bulbs, which come with it. No color listed.
  • Running lights: LED running lights and a sequential turn signal.

Another cheap upgrade I made inside the truck was this console tray I put in.

Where I’m At

The ACANII set is still my first pick for the look. The KEEKPO and AKKON sets are my backups, mostly because they take regular bulbs. If the ACANII light turns out too white, I can pick a bulb color I like with either of those.

Whatever I end up with, I’ll update this post after I install them. I’ll cover how they fit, how the install went, and what the light looks like at night.
